Executive Chef – Japanese Restaurant

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Location: New York, NY

My client is a prestigious, thriving restaurant group planning to unveil a new location this year.
This presents an exhilarating opportunity for an individual passionate about crafting seasonal menus and spearheading culinary operations within a successful establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop menus up to 3 times a year based on season and volume
• Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain their reputation for culinary excellence
• Hire, train, and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to achieve high standards of culinary skill and teamwork
• Oversee cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment to ensure compliance with legislation
• Manage cost controls, forecasting and inventory management
• Review financial targets to ensure they are being met or exceeded

Executive Chef Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a comparable role, preferably within a high volume establishment
• Ability to lead others and hold your own in a fast-paced environment
• Previous Fine Dining experience is a an asset
• A well-rounded and motivated culinary professional who can support and inspire team members
• Detail orientated professional with excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
• Degree in Culinary Arts is an asset
