Are you an experienced administrator, who enjoys working proactively in a busy team to achieve results? Then an Executive Support Administrator role in the Meteorology Department at the University of Reading could be the job for you. This role is part-time, 25.2 hours per week and office based. Ideally the workload is to be spread evenly over the weekdays, but this is negotiable. Initially this role is fixed term until 30/09/2025, but it may be possible for the term to be extended in the future dependent on the business needs The Meteorology Department is one of three busy Departments within the School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences (SMPCS) at the University of Reading. This coming together of three disciplines makes us one of the largest and most successful clusters of mathematical and computational sciences departments in the UK. We are home to more than 300 staff: including over 90 core academic staff and over 100 research staff; and more than 1000 students across our undergraduate, master's and PhD programmes. The administration team are a very busy, friendly and productive team and need another team member to help support the academic staff and activities within the department.More information on the day to day duties can be found in the Job Description for the role. In order to be successful in the role, you will need to have: Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to ensure effective liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders Accuracy and attention to detail in verbal and written communications Excellent IT skills with a range of IT packages and systems (incl.
