Looking for an experienced full time chef, around 35/40 hours per week, to join our team at Streats Kitchen.
We try and create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for our customers and staff. There is no expectations to be doing crazy hours a week as we believe in a work life balance. We are also closed over Xmas and New Year as we feel it is a time that should be spent with family.
The role involves daytime, evening and weekend work, 5 days over 7.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Preparing mise en place for both daytime and evening service.
Cooking and packaging food to a high standard.
Maintaining food hygiene standards.
Keeping kitchen clean and tidy.
Making sure all paperwork is up to date.
Dealing with customers and delivery drivers.
Skills Required:
Reliable, trustworthy & flexible.
Experience in cooking with fresh food and ingredients.
Cooking food to a high standard.
A high standard of food hygiene.
Being responsible for cleaning, labeling and organising the kitchen.
Great organisational and multi tasking skills.
The ability to work on your own and part of a team.
Stock control, monitoring portion sizes and waste control.
Great communication skills - it is an open kitchen so customers can interact at times.
You will have previous experience working in a very busy kitchen and the ability to work neatly and calmly. We are looking for the right person to lead our team and so experience/confidence in running a kitchen is desired.
A recent Food Hygiene & Food Safety Certificate would be preferred however training will also be given.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
