Your role:
As an Facilities Management Supervisor Apprentice, you will be joining our facilities team who are based in London with regional support throughout UK & Irish sites . This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced mentors while contributing to real-world projects and initiatives.
You will study towards your Level 3 Diploma in Facilities Management Supervisor, receive mentoring and coaching bespoke to you and delivered by some of the most experienced in the industry.
Being an Apprentice at News UK. During your time with us you will earn above living wage, get full training, with all your course fees paid. You will also receive mentoring from the industry’s best, as well as any other equity you might need to fulfil your full potential.
Your team: Manages building and client services at The News building as well as other publishing and broadcasting sites all over the UK & Ireland. We handle day to day activities as well as property and office relocations.
Day to day you will:
You will learn on the job and some of the duties you will support with include:
Workplace management - Understand the different function within FM such as maintenance systems, catering services and waste management
Support our helpdesk functions, talking to clients to resolves issues and communicating with the FM contractors in their daily functions
Provide contract administrative and operational support to the wider team including but limited to meeting minutes, create presentations
Communicate with key contacts around the business
Property management - Understanding the key aspects of commercial leases, dilaps, rent reviews, etc.
Learn financial management - working with budgets and analysing spend
