Tyre Hill House can accommodate up to eight families and has been renovated to a high standard reflecting our trauma informed and therapeutic ethos.   Tyre Hill is unique in the fact we will only accept referrals from care experienced parents.  Our aim is to keep families together when it is in the best interest of the child.

We are looking to appoint passionate, committed and motivated Family Support Workers with   values and qualities needed for this role to safeguard and support families who are undertaking a residential parenting assessment. 

Family Support Workers work on a shift basis to provide 24/7 support and intensive monitoring tailored to each family’s specific needs. Family Support Workers provide parents with important feedback in a sensitive manner. Whilst thinking about each parent’s individual needs, they use encouragement, teaching, modelling, and support skills to help the parents meet the child’s physical and emotional needs.

Other duties include providing childcare for babies and young children whilst parent(s) attends meetings, interventions and workshops. You will be expected to record accurate and objective information from observations within the house or in the community. The information Family Support Workers record is crucial in informing the outcome of the parenting assessment.
