Accountancy Action are seeking a Finance Administrator for a 12 month FTC to join an expanding business in Hertfordshire paying up to £23,000 per annum.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieving and reconciling daily transactions from bank accounts.
- Uploading downloaded bank transactions into the in-house system.
- Analysing outstanding banking data and providing weekly reports to divisions.
- Reporting any discrepancies in the Centre’s banking activities.
- Closing down banking operations at month-end and reporting any unidentified outstanding amounts.
- Preparing audit documents in accordance with the month-end process.
- Raising journal entries for any banking discrepancies on a monthly basis.
- Ordering bank stationery as needed.
- Assisting Centre staff and Operations with any queries.
- Posting cash book entries and reconciling bank accounts with the general ledger.
- Pro-actively identifying areas for improvement and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Attending and contributing to management/department meetings as required.
Personal Attributes and Other Requirements:
- Experience working in a finance team, preferably in sales ledger/banking.
- Logical and analytical approach with excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and proficiency in IT (MS Excel is essential).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
