The Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst
- Managing the Purchase Ledger; posting invoices, responding to queries, reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier payments.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of the daily Cash Flow forecast.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Information.
- Report production for HMRC, FCA, auditors, banks and other stakeholders etc.
- Assist and support with internal and external audits in relation to the firm’s financial activities.
- Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects.
Requirements of the Finance Analyst role
- AAT qualified or Accountancy studier
- Proven experience in Financial Services preferable.
- Good numerical skills and the ability to problem solve and be a logical thinker.
- Minimum of GCSE/ NVQ level including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of common office systems, particularly the use of Advanced Excel.
- Willing to learn and develop in the role itself and through additional accounting training.
