About the Company

My client, based in Kingston Upon Hull, is a fast paced highly entrepreneurial organisation, with an impressive track record of growth in recent years. The need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager in all areas of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Cashflow requirements and supplier payments.

• Bank Reconciliations.

• Process month end journals.

• Work with Credit Control team to ensure timely collections and customer query resolutions.

• Reconcile monthly VAT return.

• Balance sheet reconciliations.

• Month end Journals including prepayments and accruals.

• Budgets & Forecasting.

Attributes

• AAT or equivalent 12/18 months practical accounting experience.

• Numeracy and attention to detail are essential.

• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel).

• A ‘can do’ attitude and not a barrier to change.
