Finance Assistant

Finance

 Purchase ledger including processing invoices and payment runs
 Lead in the accurate recording and monitoring of VAT and aid in the timely production of any statutory returns
 Month end procedures and reconciliations
 Posting transactions and journals to the accounting system
 Monitoring departmental budgets and liaising with budget holders
 Cash management
 Trip management
 Assisting with debt management when necessary
 To ensure the finance system is used effectively
 Ensure value for money at all times

General
 Maintain confidentiality and follow General Data Protection Regulations at all times
 Attend relevant training as the need or opportunity arises
 Carry out all duties in a safe manner and in line with College policies and procedures
 Any other duties as required by the Principal or Finance Director that are commensurate with the grade for this
post
