SalaryCMA has been engaged to recruit a Finance Assistant role based in central Dorchester, Dorset to join our construction client, on a part time basis around 20-25 hours per week.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist in daily responsibilities, handling high volumes of invoice processing, and resolving any ad hoc queries and tasks.
Offering you a salary of GBP25,000 to GBP30,000 as well as additional benefits of a supportive and mentoring manager, free parking, and private medical care.
What duties will the Finance Assistant include?
- Handling high volumes of purchase invoices and subcontractor applications;
- Preparing payroll and expenses of approx. 100 staff each month;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly VAT Returns and monthly CIS Returns;
- Resolve any ad hoc queries from internal and external parties;
- Assist with administration tasks, bank reconciliation, and raising sales invoices as part of holiday cover.
The suitable candidate for the Finance Assistant role;
- AAT or QBE qualified;
- Previous experience of payroll and experience of CIS is desirable;
- Good interpersonal skills and have the ability to speak clearly and concisely;
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
