We want to grow; offer our service to more clients and generate more income for Reach’s fantastic work. We’re looking for a Service Coordinator to support our Consultants, helping them deliver our trustee recruitment service, and to handle essential admin tasks that ensure our clients and candidates have a great experience.
About Reach
Reach Volunteering is the leading skills-based volunteering charity and the UK’s single biggest source of trustees for the voluntary sector. Our vision is to create a thriving, fairer and sustainable society.
We are a friendly, deeply collaborative team of 10 staff, supported by many amazing volunteers, great freelancers and a strong, supportive board. We strive to live our values: bold and experimental, people-centred, collaborative and honest.
The Team
The TrusteeWorks team generates income for Reach and plays a key role in supporting Reach’s work. The TrusteeWorks consultants deliver our trustee search service, working with a wide variety of charities and not-for-profits to find the trustees they need to ensure strong leadership and effective governance.
The Role
You’ll be attending briefing calls with a view to managing ongoing communication with clients; searching for candidates using the Reach website and Linkedin and helping manage the application process. Also, producing candidate packs; researching prospective clients and helping us with all the day-to-day admin that underpins our service. It’s a role right at the heart of the team and you’ll learn a lot about recruitment, the charity sector and trusteeship.
We’d love this person to progress into a full Consultant role. We’ll provide plenty of training and encouragement and there will be lots of opportunity to develop your skills and increase your level of responsibility over time.
Who we are looking for
Perhaps you work in an administration role, want to progress and know you would really thrive in a values-driven environment where you’re using your skills to make a difference. Maybe you’re supporting a client-facing team and you’d relish the opportunity to have more direct client contact. You’ll definitely have great communication skills and thrive in a small organisation where a flexible approach is key.
Reach Volunteering is committed to becoming a more diverse, inclusive and equal organisation, and to helping to increase equity, diversity and inclusion in civil society. We have put equity at the heart of our new vision, values and beliefs. You can read more about our EDI journey, and our vision and values, below.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are disabled, Black, Asian or from other minoritised communities, who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community, or identify as from a lower or disadvantaged socioeconomic background as these groups are currently under-represented on our staff team.
Benefits
We encourage flexible working and many of our staff work their hours in different ways. Part-time, flexi time, compressed hours, annualised hours or some other arrangement: we are open to discussing what would work for you and be possible for the role.
We work on a hybrid basis: team members do most of their hours from home, but we come together regularly to connect and collaborate.
Other benefits include:
- 26 days annual leave, plus three bonus days at Christmas (plus Bank Holidays).
- Up to six days volunteering leave per annum.
- Pension contributions at 5 per cent.
How to Apply
We want to make our recruitment process as fair as possible, and to reduce biases. We will be anonymising applications and shortlisting based on your response to three questions. We design our questions to test for the experience and attributes we list in the person specification and we do not look at your CV in our initial shortlisting.
The questions we want you to answer and details about how to apply are on the TrusteeWorks Service Coordinator page on our website.
We are committed to making every reasonable adjustment to the recruitment process so as to accommodate people with disabilities. Please contact us to discuss any adjustments.
Closing date for applications is March 18th, 2024. It is envisaged that first stage interviews will be held on zoom / MS Teams, on March 22nd.
