Medlock Partners are partnering with a group of companies who are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT Level 2 or 3 candidate who is dynamic, self-motivated and eager to continue their education within accountancy to be able to make their stamp in the company during an exciting period of growth.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
- Gather, organise, and update financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, purchase orders.
- Monitor payments, assist in creating reports.
- Contact customers for invoices and receipts.
- Address customer/supplier inquiries.
- Follow financial rules, keep records.
- Manage accounts inbox, respond to emails and calls.
- Input bank and card payments, match invoices.
- Approve credit requests, issue notes.
- Send statements monthly, aid in making reports.
- Check supplier statements, update performance spreadsheets.
- Assist with monthly balance sheets, initiate and match internal orders.
- Setup suppliers, process invoices, credit notes.
- Assisting in preparing and delivering financial reports,
- Supporting team during month-end and year-end processes
- Managing cash flow forecasting and handling intercompany sales and purchase ledger reconciliations.
- Proven success in a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in resolving Finance-related customer issues.
- Familiarity with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge of integrated accounting software.
- Level 3 AAT qualification (Level 2 considered).
