Robert Half is working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. Based in Glasgow, this role is suited to a commercially minded accountant with experience of Finance Business Partnering, producing monthly management accounts and leading operational finance staff. You will face off to stakeholders in and outside of the finance team, resulting in an incredibly varied and diverse role.
Role Overview:
- Play a key role in driving Financial and Contract Governance to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting.
- Implement and maintain appropriate Financial Control, managing monthly processes such as Profit & Loss reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in monthly contract business reviews and oversee agreed Finance actions.
- Generate finance reports aligned with contractual requirements, fostering effective relationships with the Operations team.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with Client teams and key contract leaders.
- Effectively manage the on-site Contract support team.
- Responsively engage with both internal and external customers through effective communication and personal accessibility.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contractual procedures and processes, operating them to the required standard.
- Review, validate, and challenge operations teams to manage costs in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct monthly payroll reviews, ensuring correct cost allocations to the account
- P&L and processing any necessary recharges.
- Take ownership of contract debt management through regular debt reports.
- Prepare monthly/rolling forecasts and collaborate with the Operations team.
- Actively contribute to a continual drive to improve cost base and corporate profitability.
Experience Requirements:
- Possess a professionally recognised accounting qualification (or be part-qualified with relevant experience).
- Highly computer literate, with proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
Experience in a commercially challenging environment. - Background as a Finance Business Partner in a senior Operational team.
- Previous experience in a service industry role using ERP finance systems.
- Proven commercial acumen and ability to contribute to decision-making.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated and ambitious.
- Experience working within a SOX reporting environment.
- Results/task-oriented, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
Salary on offer is within a range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum plus benefits.
