This is a newly created role, where you will be providing support through analysis and insight, to influence commercial decisions. You will manage and lead the planning process and develop consistent forecasts that identify new opportunities, optimising spend and driving improvements.
The Job:
Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be an ambitious, commercially-minded individual, with proven experience of building strong relationships with stakeholders to take a joined up, proactive approach. You will be a true financial leader, providing insightful analysis and challenge to one area of the business, supporting decision-making.
Here's what you'll be diving into:
Financial Analysis: Crunching numbers is your forte! You'll be responsible for analysing financial data and providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Business Collaboration: As a Finance Business Partner, you'll be right in the thick of things, collaborating with various teams across the business. For one key area, you'll be the go-to person for financial advice and support.
Performance Management: Keeping tabs on performance metrics is key to success. You'll work closely with stakeholders to set targets, track progress, and drive accountability to ensure we're hitting our financial goals.
Problem-Solving: Challenges are just opportunities in disguise, right? You'll tackle complex financial issues head-on, using your analytical skills and creative thinking to find innovative solutions.
Reporting and Forecasting: Clear, concise, and accurate reporting is essential. You'll prepare financial reports and forecasts to ensure the business is always moving in the right direction.
Continuous Improvement: Growth is supported, and that includes processes and systems. You'll proactively identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively to implement changes that drive efficiency and effectiveness. This role offers extensive exposure across the company, fostering numerous opportunities for professional development. You'll enjoy direct access to our leadership team and senior managers, with the added potential of becoming a regional finance representative.
Duties include:
- Financial support appraising business projects.
- Commercial financial analysis to support cost decisions and strategy.
- Forging strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Preparing and reporting timely, accurate monthly financial statements with complementary analysis and providing insight.
- Contributing to the development and pursuit of strategic finance goals, through capital allocation and commercial decision making.
- Drive visibility and cost control around current and future spend patterns, reviewing implications of overspends.
- Supporting Business Partnering for the Operations Team to assess options and drivers of current and future performance.
The requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
- Commercial and influential mindset, with proven analytical and modelling skills.
- Experience within new projects, costing and strategic decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financials into meaningful business recommendations.
- Positive and resilient, enjoys a busy, fast-paced way of working.
- Pro-active and enthusiastic, an ability to generate ideas and influence change.
- Finds reward in implementing change, setting a 'can do' example.
