Finance Business Partner
Tenure: 12 months
What you’ll be doing?
We are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner who will support the financial sustainability and performance reporting withing Digital Health and Care Wales. The post holder will lead on the construction of financial planning and analysis, support the Associate Director of Finance and Senior Team in development of the organisation’s financial strategy and annual departmental plan. The Finance Business Partner will provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of DHCW’s forecasting and planning and analysis processes.
What your day to day would look like?
* Producing accurate monthly budget holder reports, monitoring performance against delegated budgets
* Supporting and advising budget holders on all financial matters, including investigating financial variances
* Producing monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure they are correctly reflected in the monthly financial reports
* Monitoring achievement against the Financial Plan on a timely basis by producing reports from the ledger and undertaking detailed analysis
* Making any necessary complex budget adjustments to the Finance ledger in line with the Financial Plan
* Co-ordinating the month end checklist process to ensure all tasks are actioned, completed and collated, controlling the integrity of DHCW’s financial position.
* Maintaining a monthly checklist of budget holder responses to an audit acceptable standard.
What skills do you need?
* Experience of working within a finance office, operating at a senior level
*
CCAB (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) part qualified or AAT Membership (NVQ 5);
* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills when dealing with highly complex and sensitive information to and from a wide range of stakeholders
* Excellent financial analysis and planning skills
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and met deadlines
What else is advantageous?
* Knowledge of NHS Financial Procedures and best practice
* Experience in a supervisory role within a finance office environment
* Ability to speak Welsh
