We have a new opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join BT on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working based out of our Belfast office.
This is a great opportunity to drive value through commercially orientated Business Partnering with the sales and operational teams, looking after a business of significant value.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for maintaining month end accounts and preparing quarterly / annual financial statements (P&L, and B/S) in accordance with accounting standards and controls and managing Audit queries as they arise
- Providing quality and insightful variance commentaries that describe the past but more importantly dictate actions for the future
- Identifying and driving cost transformation programmes or profit optimisation activities across the regional customer base.
- Developing the annual budget and payplan targets for the region and sales teams.
- Developing forward forecasting taking into account WIP, New Deals, Customer insight on Losses, Churn etc,
- Managing customer/commercial issues – eg working with the sales teams to mitigate impact from customer disputes
- Assisting on the financial evaluation of New Business (Bids) proposals ensuring learnings are taken from the past and being applied to the future
Skills Required
- Professional Qualified accountant
- Knowledge of one or more accounting systems / analytical softeware SAP, Power BI plus Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to present to senior member of the team
- Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making
- Translating complex financial outcomes to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail
- Can think ‘outside the box’ to propose innovative solutions to problem
