Our client, a highly-respected organisation, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer, to join their dynamic team on a temporary, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for providing crucial support to the finance team and managing the collection and processing of income payments.
The responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate setup of rents, service charges, and invoicing, promptly posting income.
- Set up supplier accounts, ensure correct coding, and assist with finance tasks.
- Implement rent increases, update debits, and issue notices as per decisions.
- Maintain timely records of rents, charges, and tenant income.
- Update benefit information, liaise with Omni Ledger, ensure statements, and manage reconciliation.
- Handle creditor payments per regulations, set up accounts accurately.
- Manage invoice approval, monitor accounts, resolve queries, and conduct reconciliations.
- Coordinate payments, liaise with stakeholders, and support forecasting.
- Perform directed reconciliations, provide cover as needed.
- Seek improvements, uphold policies, promote reputation, control costs, and fulfil assigned duties.
The candidate:
- Proven experience in financial administration.
- Strong understanding of rent management systems and accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
