Finance Officer - AP & AR Function | Full time and Permanent | Lambeth, London | Salary up to £29,000 (Hybrid)
Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with our client who are in the charity sector. Due to a team restructure they are looking for a Finance Officer to join the team at their London office. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Accountant with the maintenance of the charity's accounting books and records, managing the charity's accounting receipts and payments and other transactions and performing such other duties within the Finance department that the Assistant Accountant may require.
Responsibilities:
·Ensure that day-to-day accounting records of MSSC on the Sun computer system are maintained accurately.
·Manage the purchase ledger as required by the AA.
·Ensure purchase invoices and all expenses have been properly authorised and coded prior to FSA approval.
·Ensure that new supplier/employee accounts are set up in Sun on weekly basis.
·Ensure that supplier/employees/volunteers are paid within agreed terms.
·Process weekly payment runs in Sun observing adequate Director approvals
·Process international payments, refunds and other Bankline related transactions
·Manage supplier accounts paid by DD, including invoice posting, cash posting and allocation within Sun system
·Manage the sales ledger including FSA invoicing control, customer set up and receipt allocation within bank statement and Sun accounts.
·Perform credit control function to ensure debts are kept within agreed levels.
·Post income journals relating to Cardsave income.
·Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts as directed by AA.
·Assist the AA with annual audit work, preparing and providing information for auditors as required.
·Attend meetings as required for the primary purpose.
·Cover for other members of Finance team as and when required.
About you:
·Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
·AAT is advantageous
·Intermediate Excel Skills
·Ability to work as part of a team and independently
