Finance Team Leader

The Employer & Opportunity:

We love working with this client, although it’s rare that we get to - there’s 5 people in finance and the average length of service is 11 years! A combination of an upcoming retirement, and recent growth means we have two wonderful roles based in the busy Finance team of a Blackburn based wholesale business.

This particular vacancy is for a Finance Team Leader, reporting directly to the Finance Director, supporting with month end management accounts production while mentoring a team of 3 across Purchase and Sales Ledger.

As Finance Team Leader you will take full responsibility for assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, maintenance of the fixed asset register, cash flow forecasting, quarterly VAT returns and overseeing sales and purchase ledger.

The Requirements:

As part of this small Finance Team, you will be flexible in your approach to work and will be happy to turn your hand to any task. This role requires the knowledge of someone who has worked in an Assistant Accountant role previously, AAT qualification would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have good personal organisation skills, strong teamworking ability and willingness and enthusiasm to learn and take on new tasks.
