Form of work Our client, a market leader in its field, with a fantastic reputation for quality service delivery and customer retention, is looking to hire a credible and proactive Financial Accountant.
Main duties include:
* Preparing monthly financial accounts and related overheads
* Identifying journal adjustments and recommend correct accounting treatment for unusual transactions
* Regularly reviewing and analysing revenue related budget and forecast variances
* Reviewing accruals and site level P&Ls
* Supporting the year end audit procedure
* Completion and/or review of cost and balance sheet reconciliations
* Full participation with Finance Systems project teams on developing and improving of financial models
* Assisting with cash flow forecasting and contribute to cost control and cost monitoring
* Calculating variance analysis - to include root cause analysis and countermeasures to anomalous entries in the accounts
* Bank account reconciliation and assisting with ad-hoc duties to support wider finance department.
Key skills & Experience required:
* ACCA/CIMA Studier (ideally at least part-qualified or finalist)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Positive attitude and keen to roll up sleeves and add to the team dynamic
* Intermediate Excel
