- Assist in the preparation of the monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and associated variance reports to budget holders for the UK. Where appropriate take primary responsibility for certain cost centres.
- Lead the annual statutory audit of Osborne Clarke UK LLP, Osborne Clarke Services (OCS for staff services) and Open Trustees including liaison with external auditors.
- Preparation of monthly financial accounts; including journal postings, accruals and prepayments plus monthly cash flow analysis..
- Responsible for ensuring all payroll runs for our Service Company and key controls are reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Manage the quarterly resource plan process and monthly headcount analysis for Business Services
- Analyse and report on key performance areas in Business Services functions.
- Oversee monthly reconciliation of control accounts
- Contribute to the development of the Trainee Accountant
- Ability to research and fact find on payroll and tax related queries.
- Support the preparation and completion of the annual overhead budgets from UK Business Service budget holders. .
- Manage all accounting and reporting required for our US Operations, including accruals, prepayments, P&L, balance sheet, fixed assets, quarterly tax returns and support on all finance related queries.
- Ensure reconciliation of monthly transactions for OC Sweden against their primary accounting system
- Contribute to improvements in key processes within financial accounting remit where necessary to deliver efficiencies and improved accuracy.
Your Skills
The ideal candidate will need to be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with an extensive track record of experience. It would be beneficial if this was in professional services but is not a prerequisite. You'll also have:
