Form of workRobert Half are partnering with a global manufacturing business to appoint a new Financial Accounting Manager. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant, looking to make the next career step. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, with expertise in both UK and GAAP. Strong knowledge of UK taxation and filing requirements and skilled in Internal Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Possess excellent technical skills and be commercially astute.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Strong understanding of UK taxation and filing requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting roles.
- Thorough understanding of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable.
