Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant - £40 per hour inside IR35 - Farnborough - Hybrid working - 6 months (extensions likely) - one stage interview - Sector: Aerospace

Yolk recruitment is recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a global leader in aerospace and telecommunications sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a relatively new system you will be instrumental in supporting the Finance Team with building the financial operation ensuring is fit for purpose and user friendly.

Previous experience with audit with be essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

Month End Process

• Prepare and process all general ledger journals and activities including Payroll, accruals and prepayments.
• Complete trans
• Complete transactional postings ensuring accuracy to the correct areas.
• Analyse Balance sheet and Profit and loss
• Prepare clear and audit proof balance sheet reconciliations.

Process Improvement

• Provide support to enhance financial processes, to include purchase to pay, financial reporting, inventory and fixed assets.
• Provide support to configure Microsoft D365 to automate processes and improve key controls.

Financial Controls Implementation

• Identify and support on the implementation of robust financial controls.

Audit Preparation

• Prepare all required date for audit purposes.

Core Skills:

• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
• Proven experience in month-end processes and financial reporting.
• A background in audit or some experience in audit is essential
• Must have experience preparing Trial Balance to stats reconciliations and be technically proficient.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience withing the aerospace sector
