Financial Accountant – Cambridge - £35,000 - £40,000

If you are a part or fully qualified accountant looking for a better working environment in Cambridge, then this could be the opportunity for you. Reed Accountancy are partnered with a University of Cambridge College as they recruit a permanent Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

You will join an established team, reporting to the Head of Finance. As well as the mentioned salary, the typically excellent college benefits and a hybrid working pattern are on offer.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist at year-end accounts and planning for the statutory audit.
• Donations reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations and bank postings.
• Financial reporting and analysis.
• Preparation of annual accounts for various student societies.
• Line management of four members of the finance team.
• Oversight of all student fees and billing.
• Reconciliations, reporting and payment to the University of fees and dealing with fee related queries.
• Student Loans Company information management, Postgraduate Loans approvals management and dealing with queries.
• Oversight of postgraduate scholarships, US loans and Cambridge Bursary Scheme.
• Student related reporting requirements.
• Maintaining the College fee databases/spreadsheets.
• Oversight of credit control.
• Other finance related tasks as required.

You will be joining a friendly and hardworking team and will receive support from management and the team as a whole.
