ROLE SUMMARY
The candidate will work on new platform businesses being developed by my client as well as acquisitions across several real estate asset classes.
We are seeking someone who is very confident with Excel modelling, with experience of building models from scratch, and prior experience of acquisitions and underwriting. The role could suit someone from an Acquisitions, Underwriting, Investment, Corporate Finance/M&A background.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- the investment function with a focus on new acquisitions
- and produce analysis and forecasts for investments to aid in decision making
- and amend existing Excel models for scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
- underwriting materials and analysis for investment committee presentations
- and maintain acquisition pipelines
- deals to assist with initial acquisitions of platform businesses
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- experience (min. 3 years) of experience working in real estatePrivate equity / principal investments, corporate finance or investment banking
- exposure to retail, hospitality or commercial real estate preferred
- capabilities including creating, auditing and interpreting financial models for real estate investment
- commercial awareness with broad market knowledge
- to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate them effectively
- written and verbal communication skills
- working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a small team
