Financial Controller
Based: Sandbach area
Salary: £60k-£70k dependent on experience + up to 20% bonus + private medical + enhanced pension + development opportunity to FD
Our client are a hugely successful, growing construction/engineering business based in the Cheshire area. After a period of growth and change over the last 2 years, we are actively looking to hire a Financial Controller to join the business who can progress to Finance Director in the next 2-3 years. Company is circa £20m turnover but sits part of an international, world leading group offering excellent financial backing and the opportunity to grow internationally and within the UK. With a robust 5 year plan, this role will report directly to the MD and progress with the business
Role:
- Leading and developing a finance team of 4
- Producing management accounts, group consolidation and reporting to group monthly
- P&L, overheads, balance sheet, WIP, business unit P&L’s
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business to drive growth
- Budgeting and forecasting, preparing group strategic business plan, setting annual budget and detailed monthly forecast/analysis against budget
- Year end accounts, preparing year end audit pack and audit sign off
- Maintaining up to date submissions, COR, HMRC and ONS
- Project accounting for numerous engineering/construction projects, working with Directors on WIP
- Overseeing all finance duties AP, AR, Credit Control, Payroll
- Overheads preparing budget for approval by the board
- Managing all 3 rd party relationships including banks, insurance, company cars
- Working with the senior leadership team and Group MD to deliver
- Tenders - credit checks and approval of new suppliers/customers
