The successful Financial Controller is a key member of the finance leadership team and will work closely with the Director on scaling the business and finance function, including improving reporting, processes and managing a small finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Management and production of the monthly accounts
- Overseeing the month-end close and preparing the month-end journals
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cashflow forecasting
- Present company financials in board meetings
- Liaise with HMRC regarding CIS/VAT/PAYE/NI
- Prepare the statutory financial statements and assist with the annual audit process
- Review financial controls and processes, designing and implementing new processes and controls and the business scales
- Management of the finance team
Requirements:
- Must be qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Previous experience within the construction industry is essential
- Experience using Sage 200 / Eque2 would be advantageous
- Able to design and implement controls, someone who is a keen problem solver who can drive process improvements
- Strong communications skills and able to explain key financial information to non-finance departments
- Prior experience managing a finance team
Package:
- Salary of £80,000 - £95,000 (dependent on experience)
