Financial Controller

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Financial Controller to work for this highly successful business. Your duties will be as follows:

• Responsible for the finance function of the business
• Production of monthly and annual management accounts
• Responsible for budgets and forecasts and discussing with the management team
• Production of statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations
• Looking at job costings and discussing progress with managers and staff
• Analysing project costings against revenue
• Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Working with consultants to collate information for the R & D claims
• Applying for grant funding opportunities and applications
• Responsible for payroll
• Submitting PAYE and VAT to HMRC
• Debt control and ensuring payments are made on time
• Responsible for cashflow management and banking

You will have worked in a similar role and be either qualified or qualified by experience. Strong IT skills, including Excel and Xero are essential.

This is a flexible, hybrid role with occasional visits to the office.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Up to 45,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
