This company is a fast-growing private equity backed manufacturing business with an acquisitional mindset. This year they are expecting to see their turnover grow from £10 to £16m and have a clear plan to develop this further in the medium term.
This recruit is seen as succession planning for the next 2-5 years with a clear plan to progress Financial Director.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be a key member of the senior management team. Based at their Head Office, the Head of Finance will work closely with Finance Director, Managing Director, and the operational directors / managers in driving performance in all areas. You will manage a finance team and in the short to medium term, it is imperative that the successful candidate has a hands-on approach with monitoring and mentoring their team to improve results and ensure best practice and reporting controls are in place to ensure that highly accurate monthly accounts and reports are produced.
The Financial Controller will be seen as an ambassador for the business, supporting commercial activities, contributing to leadership decisions, undertaking an active leadership role in the continued success of the company.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual to become part of the senior management team, with daily interaction with the Finance Director and Managing Director.
Whilst the primary requirement of the Financial Controller will be to ensure accurate reporting of financial information and adequate financial controls and processes, the successful candidate will have a key input into every aspect of the running of the business, including business support functions such as IT, premises, appointments and contractual relationships, and insurance.
