Financial Controller

CY Executive Resourcing are working closely with a successful and busy Company who are looking to appoint an experienced and confident Financial Controller.
Working closely with the Senior Management, the Financial Controller position is a key role within the company, providing strong strategic oversight and underpinning their continued success and growth plans with strong financial controls.
Role will include:
* Lead the finance function on a day-to day basis.
* Annual Budget preparation, implementation and forecasting.
* Financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level.
* Work closely with stakeholders to monitor and analyse project budgets, costs, and profitability.
* Actively participate in the development and execution of the company's business plans, ensuring that resources are allocated in a prioritised way to maximise operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
* Costing and stock management, working with the Managing Director & senior management team to maximise profit.
* Implement systems and controls to enhance job costing accuracy and efficiency.
* To ensure reporting timetables are met, and accounting procedures and controls are maintained.
* Supervise the purchase and sales ledger and ensure all payments/receipts are managed correctly with a view to maintaining optimal cash flow.
* Prepare VAT returns each quarter and be responsible for year-end accounts for consolidation into the Group accounts and corporation tax packs required for Group reporting.
This role requires an experienced, proactive and commercially focussed individual with proven exposure to working within a fast-paced environment at Financial Controller level.
Onsite working preferred with flexibility extended after settling in period
