Position: Financial Controller- Construction

Salary: £45,000-£60,000 Depending on experience

The Role

Hunter Mason Consultancy are proud to be working with a successful and rapidly growing Construction company. They are seeking a Financial Controller in this newly created role.

The business is well established and fast expanding. They are based in lovely offices with a great team. The Financial Controller will be an experienced accountant with a hands-on approach who can report and support the Directors of the Business. You will report pivotal role in the production of key financial information to support the strategic decision making. You will be responsible for the day-to-day control and all finance functions.

Day to day responsibilities

· Production of the monthly management accounts

. Controlling income, cashflow and expenditure, including managing the cashbook

· Budgeting and forecasting

· Providing variance analysis and commentary

· Handling all transactional finance activity including the purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger

· Contractor and Supplier Payments

· Cash flow forecasting

· Implementing effective financial controls

· Running a small payroll

· Credit Control

· Bank Reconciliation

· VAT Returns

· Liaising with the external Accountants

· Competent in Microsoft packages

· Strong analysis and system skills

You will be an experienced Accountant with good interpersonal skills a "can do" attitude happy to work in a small team and do a "hands-on" role. Qualifications ACA/ACCA/AAT/CIMA are advantageous but not essential. Experience of working in construction is highly advantageous.
