Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust have created a new permanent position of Financial Controller. The person appointment will be based within the Central Team of the Trust and will work in collaboration with all the schools within the Trust across Manchester, Trafford, Tameside and Stockport. The role will oversee the day to day supervision of the central Finance team and colleagues with financial responsibilities as part of their role in our Schools. You will also provide a professional and technical accountancy service to the Trust

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a diverse and challenging role to develop themselves further professionally. We are looking for an individual who would complement our existing Trust Central Team, who deliver HR, finance, ICT and school improvement services to our schools.

The Trust is seeking to appoint an individual who has the experience, motivation, enthusiasm and skill set to work in partnership with the Headteachers and other stakeholders to help lead the future vision and development of our rapidly expanding Trust.

The main duties of the role are:

  • To manage the Finance function of the Trust
  • To ensure monthly Balance Sheet control totals are fully reconciled
  • To support the CFO in the production of monthly Management Accounts
  • To attend LGB Finance Committees.
  • To liaise with external auditors
  • To work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team.

The person appointed will be expected to travel between all the schools within the Trust and will also have the flexibility to work remotely/from home.
