Financial Controller | South Yorkshire £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits including annual bonus scheme

The Opportunity

Innovative niche manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire have an exciting and lucrative opportunity for a recently qualified Financial Controller.

As 'number 2 in finance’ reporting to a driven and strategically focused FD you will enjoy playing an integral role in the future growth and success of the group.

This is business in the £10m - £15m turnover bracket that have a superb reputation in their specialist market and a high degree of expertise. They pride themselves on their product quality, R&D and innovation.

The role is extremely broad and well mapped development is planned. Supported by a strategically focused Finance Director you will be given chance to develop a toolkit that will see you ready for your own first FD role in the next 3-5 years.

You will enjoy

The remit will include: management accounts preparation and presentation - including a key project to reduce the timeframe of month end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, refresh of the existing commercial reporting / KPI reporting, balance sheet review, cashflow review and management.

All in all, an incredible step for a recently qualified senior financial accountant / management accountant / finance manager looking for their first FC role. You will need

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to real get under the skin of the numbers.
• Ability to drill down into current processes and controls / financial reporting to make month end procedures as efficient as possible.
• Someone able to provide financial information / insights and MI that will raise the credibility of and impact of the finance team.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• CIMA / ACCA or ACA.
• A track record of success in either industry or practice - previous experience of management accounts prep is absolutely required.
• Huge enthusiasm to really make a difference, stretch yourself and work with the FD to make an impact.
