The Role:
As Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial health of our business. Reporting to the Managing Director, your expertise will guide strategic financial decisions and support our growth ambitions. This role is a cornerstone in shaping the financial future of our dynamic international company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Controls: - Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to the Senior Leadership Team. - Ensure compliance with UK financial reporting standards and maintain robust financial controls.
Team Leadership and Development: - Manage day-to-day financial operations and lead the finance team towards excellence. - Set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations. - Enhance team skills through identifying training needs.
Financial Management: - Develop financial procedures, manage cash flow, and oversee budgeting and forecasting. - Monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with regulations. - Manage international multi-currency transactions.
Strategic Planning and Analysis: - Create financial forecasting models and perform financial analysis. - Provide insights for business development and risk management. - Drive profitability through strategic financial recommendations.
Strategic Financial Partnerships: - Manage relationships with financial institutions, suppliers, and customers.
Personal Attributes
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
- Experience in a Financial Controller role within manufacturing or distribution.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software, systems, and advanced Excel.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Experience with international transactions and manufacturing financial processes.
