Our client provides builders and conservators with expertly manufactured and installed interior finishes to enhance the built environment. This full-time opportunity will be based in their bright new purpose-built office and will serve as support to their finance department.
They are seeking a Financial Controller, a new role in the accounting function across four construction companies in a group.
Working with the directors of the business, role responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all financial control of the businesses
- Closing off the month end including balance sheet reconciliations, WIP, group company management charges and P&L month end reports
- Manage cashflow and working capital to optimise resources
- Prepare statutory returns
- Ensuring that the directors receive accurate and timely management information
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Invoicing and liaison with factoring service
- Debt collection
- Supplier payments
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
- Collaboration with the directors to assist in establishing and improving effective processes and controls
Desirable skills and experience:
- ACCA or CIMA part or fully qualified
- Quickbooks experience
- Good Excel skills
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work independently and liaise with people across the business
- Construction industry experience advantageous
Software knowledge:
- QuickBooks
- Excel
Time management:
With a multifaceted role like this and many competing deadlines, juggling efficient time management is a must. Office working hours are between 8:30 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday.
This is a permanent office based role with no opportunity to work from another location.
