In this role you'll support the delivery of accountabilities and core activities of the Financial Crime Operations Managers and ultimately the Head of Financial Crime Operations.
You'll get to lead and coach a team of Investigators & Senior Investigators covering a range of AML systems and making sure we keep our Customers and our Bank safe.
What you'll be doing
Managing a team of Financial Crime SMEs responsible for - AML Client Screening and Transaction Monitoring, Sanction and PEP escalations, Customer Risk Assessments, Financial Crime training and education, Providing expert advice to colleagues on Financial Crime.
Managing a team of Financial Crime Senior SMEs responsible for - Customer Risk Assessments/periodic reviews, PEP and Sanction escalations, Quality checking SAR submissions to the NCA and DAML requests, Team representation and ownership for all engagement initiatives
Capacity planning to ensure adequately resourced teams and quality outcomes
Recruitment, development, and performance management of direct reports
Delivering business change/business readiness
Ensuring all internal and external service levels are achieved
Representing VM at industry intelligence sharing groups and internal projects, receiving, reviewing, and circulating new intelligence as appropriate and feeding operational best practice into projects
Ensuring all new or amended key stroke and high-level processes are documented, amended and communicated in accordance with the Risk and Operations framework
Own AML Risk Control Self-Assessment and operational risk actions and associated updates, amends and attestations
Complying fully with legal, regulatory and TCF requirements and all codes of practice and conduct within the business
We need you to have
Experience in Financial Crime Operations.
Excellent knowledge of Financial Crime legislation, regulation and industry guidance
A proven people leader who can motivate a team
Experience of delivering operational change would be a benefit
Proven research and analytical skills with the ability to analyse and communicate technical and regulatory matters in a non-technical manner
Excellent written communication and reporting skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
