To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who has experience of leading a Fixed Income Middle Office team, with exposure to Cash Bonds, but ideally with additional knowledge of Interest Rate Swaps and/or REPO products. Should you have experience of primary market / new issues, then this is very beneficial. You must be willing to be hands on and to perform the typical day to day responsibilities of a Middle Office function, as well as being strategic and working on projects, mitigating risk, improving controls and providing leadership to the team. Strong familiarity of working with Traders, Product Control and Settlements teams is required, and any knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS, MarketAxess or MarkitWire is advantageous, so is someone who offers a short notice period.
The small yet highly skilled team sits part of a wider Middle Office function, and performs everything from trade re-bookings, confirmations, affirmations, allocations, FOBO recs, Static Data maintenance and investigating and resolving trade queries. This is a hands on role as much as it is leadership, with the team sitting with the Front Office accordingly.
