Deputy Manager Community Forensic Service

We are looking for the right person to join our organisation, implementing multi -disciplinary discharges into the community and managing bespoke packages of highly specialised care to individuals with complex mental health needs in their own homes.
You will:
Be capable of working independently to process new referrals in line with our referral
procedures and in consultation with the Clinical Director and Manager.
Carry out Forensic Risk Assessments and develops Risk Management Plans with support.
Maintain the delivery of care within the team through effective quality assurance and in consultation with the Clinical Director and Manager
Set and monitor standards to be achieved through organisational objectives in conjunction with your Line Manager
Conduct and deliver quality and clinical audits, reporting on clinical outcomes for service users
Provide evidence-based interventions (directly or indirectly) that improve the quality of life for our clients.
Advise your Line Manager of all untoward incidents, accidents or complaints and compliments.
Conduct investigations of incidents, complaints and concerns under the direction of the Line Manager.
Support the delivery of individualised risk management plans of individuals with a forensic history in conjunction with the Clinical Director, other members of the multi-disciplinary team and relevant outside agencies.
Ensure that effective communication systems and good working relationships are established and maintained within the team and with other agencies
Support individual clients and their families/carers in the community, advising on their clinical management and liaising with other support services to co-ordinate individual support packages.
Work flexibly as required in response to service need.
Be innovative in developing services to meet the changing needs of people with complex mental health needs.
Work as an advocate for people with complex mental health needs in general and clients with a forensic history in particular.
Provide or facilitate training and supervision for support staff within the team.
Attend monthly/regular clinical supervision
Undertake the role of Care Co-ordinator and assist the Manager where this is required.
Help support other localities where this may be needed.
Be required to be on call where this may be required.
Help support the on-call system.

Experience/ Knowledge
· Prior experience in complex mental health and/or working with mental health clients with a forensic history is essential.
· Must have good IT skills.
· Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to clients, staff and the business
· Understanding of CQC Regulations
· Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and understanding of safeguarding procedures
· Excellent communication skills, with experience of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other professionals
· NVQ Level 3 or above.
· The ability to uphold professional standards.

Salary: £30,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
