I am delighted to be working with a well-established disability charity in search of an Interim Fundraising Operations Manager. This is a full-time remote working role (with some travel), part-time may be considered. This is a key role within the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. As Interim Fundraising Operations Manager you will provide management of supporter care and data, financial reconciliation, fundraising administration, compliance, reporting, and policies and procedures.
Main duties:
Lead, motivate and manage the fundraising administration team. Provide pastoral support and day-to-day support as required, delegating responsibilities, and coordinating work to ensure the team delivers its objectives.
Follow Trust line-management procedures, and complete line manager duties including regular one-to-one meetings, annual reviews and setting objectives.
Encourage open and frequent communication between the fundraising administration team and other fundraising colleagues, to ensure the fundraising administration team are well-informed and involved with team activities.
Ensure that supporter data on the CRM is accurate, compliant, and complete; support the data team to provide efficient and effective data selections for fundraising campaigns and analysis.
Produce and manage the annual administration budget for the department, liaising with other budget holders as required to ensure needs are met.
Maintain and officially record donor complaints and ensure the department’s complaint procedure is always followed.
With the Finance Business Partner, ensure that all fundraising income and expenditure is appropriately and correctly coded, recorded and reported.
Monitor and reconcile all fundraised income, working in close partnership with Finance and Fundraising Managers to ensure there is an accurate record of every donation with the relevant data available for funder/regulatory reporting when necessary.
Responsible for the fundraising purchase ledger, including entering Purchase Orders and GRNs, submitting invoices for payment by central finance, and adding sundry payments when required. Entering credit card and cash expenses for approval.
Close liaison with central finance team to identify and help implement systems and control improvements which will improve fundraising accounting disciplines, management information and result in improved financial results.
