ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role
As part of the Group Talent Development CoE the role holder leads the Learning & Development agenda and deployment for the Corporate Functions (Finance, DBS, Cora & Legal). The role manages the agenda and curriculum ensuring alignment to the functional SLAs strategies, the global L&D strategy and functional skills & capability needs.

- Working in partnership with Centre HRBPS & Functional Heads of HR to design and agree the L&D portfolio and Cycle Plan for Corporate Functions
- Supporting Centre HRBPs on the design and development of capability frameworks and career navigators.
- Liaising with representatives of Functional LTs and their direct reports to provide updates on L&D portfolio activities and to support SME content design and delivery

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Delivering the Global L&D agenda, curriculum and activities for assigned functional areas with core responsibilities being:
- Setting the functional development and learning agenda;
- Generating commitment and buy in from key stakeholders and leadership teams;
- Calendar/program development and management;
- Program rollout and implementation;
- In addition to delivering the L&D agenda, the role holder will play an active role in defining the L&D agenda through supporting the development of capability framework’s and other key enablers.
- Owning and leading the execution of assigned function L&D Portfolio, including:
- Leading the development of organisation capability to deliver the functional capability requirements and business need - analyse capability of function vs strategic business agenda and build a plan to close the gap;
- Deploying the L&D portfolio, curriculum and capability development framework for assigned functional area;
- Supporting the development of functional capability frameworks;
- Supporting the embedding of learning development practices at the functional level;
- Acting as Talent Development Partner to the functional team and provide appropriate development interventions based on business requirements.
- Effectively managing functional development budgets and 3rd party providers, ensuring efficiency of spend.
- Ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach to functional capability building – working with peers to identify and deploy fit-for-purpose curated ‘off the shelf’ programmes as preferred option to build functional capability.
- Sharing insights and best practices across peer community ensuring that fit-for-purpose development programmes are shared and used across group.
- Supporting in the development of eLearning content working in partnership with GBS, L&D team and external providers as required.
- Working with Senior Talent Development Managers and HRBPs in the ongoing review and development of core capabilities, skills and leadership behaviours across assigned functional area.
- Acting as part of an agile team supporting colleagues across each of the pillars of the Group Talent Development and Diversity COE as necessary
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- University degree
- Experienced HR Professional with minimum of 5-10 years proven track record supporting Talent or L&D interventions across multiple functions in large, complex and matrix environment
- Prior HRBP / OD / OE partnering experience at a senior level would be beneficial
- Proven capabilities and strengths in L&D, career/capability framework design, OD and organisational change. Skilled at setting strategy as well as operational delivery. Translates thinking into simple and tangible solutions.
- Ability to diagnose strategy issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Well-developed consultancy skills, including building personal credibility and managing and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
- The ability to self-motivate, manage resistance and engage successfully at all levels to ensure buy in and full engagement and alignment.
- Strong Project Management experience and coordination.
- Demonstrates ability to think and act both strategically and operationally.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring and relationship building skill.
- Resilience / tenacity to deliver results in an environment of ambiguity.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and is committed to self-development.
- Credibility within the community to engage, influence and obtain buy-in to proposals.
- Proven ability around 3rd party vendor management, contract negotiation, setting and measuring appropriate service level agreements and issues resolution.
