Role: Global Business Excellence Director - Assessment and System Certification
Location: UK - Remote

About the role:
This is a truly amazing career opportunity to join BSI’s senior leadership team as our Global business Excellence Director.
This will be a pivotal role in maximising the performance of our people and processes, ensuring the services we provide our clients remain excellent whilst driving continual improvement. The role will focus on ensuring the excellence of our people and delivering improvements that can be made in our processes, tools, and ways of working. The successful candidate will play a critical part in not only overseeing operational excellence but also in fostering a culture of improvement and collaboration to ensure sustained growth and client satisfaction within a global organisation.
The role will work as part of the global assessment and system certification leadership team, you will be a key person in driving collaborative relationships with all other functions within the business, with the primary aim of supporting and delivering business and people growth.
Responsibilities:
  • To create a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the organisation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • To analyse current operational performance and key performance indicators across all markets
  • Develop on-going monitoring of operational effectiveness, global operational dashboard.
  • Identify areas for improvement in relation to operational effectiveness.
  • Planning and implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive consistent global operational ways of working including procedures, processes, and tools.
  • Define and deliver short-, medium- and long-term operational improvement projects.
  • Support and contribute to relevant global initiatives at group level as directed by the business.
  • Contribute to the global assessment and system certification leadership team, including the development of the business line strategy and providing operational insights.
  • Collaborate with other Group functions: IT, Innovation, Finance, People, Legal and in full collaboration with the relevant Compliance and Technical teams.
  • To lead and manage the global operational excellence team.
  • Managing and overseeing the Assurance Academy involves multifaceted responsibilities to ensure the effective functioning and success of the academy to enhance skills and knowledge and positively impact the organisation.

  • Business acumen with good analytical skills

  • Proven leadership and people management experience at a senior level
  • Excellent understanding of operational delivery and planning processes
  • Excellent networker and relationship builder

  • Client focused with the ability to fully understand BSI client needs (internal/external) and requirements.
  • Proactive person with outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates self-initiative and resilience.
