Loch Lomond Golf Club is looking to recruit for our newly created Golf Operations Trainee Academy. These positions are open to PGA Assistant Professionals, PGA Trainees, but also those with no previous experience of working in Golf operations. Our only requirement is that you have a strong interest in Golf Operations Management, and you are keen to learn all aspects of the operation whilst delivering exceptional service to our Members and their Guests. Our objective is to create a solid foundation on which you can build your career.

Contract – seasonal 1st April – 31st October with potential opportunities available in the winter
Hours – 30hrs +
Pay – £12/hour (Real Living Wage Employer)

The Role and what you will learn:
Coordination of all aspects of the Loch Lomond Golf Operations Department including, but not limited to, golf reservations, events, tuition, starters, practice areas, caddies, retail, and outside services.
- Full Professional Shop retail experience- stock management, sales & merchandising
- Complete tournament management of Club and Member events
- How to use and coordinate the Jonas Tee Time Management System
- How to coordinate coaching and tuition time with business needs
- The duties of the Service Staff programme from player arrival through until player departure
- The duties of the starter/ranger
- Caddie Master duties – coordinating daily and large event caddie requests.
- The function of the Locker Steward and their area
- How to track Golf Operations budgets and revenues
- Plenty of additional opportunities in related projects around the Club
What We Require:
- Strong interest in a PGA Professional role or Golf Operations management
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Motivation and determination to go above and beyond what is expected
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise time-sensitive assignments.
- Creativity and Flexibility – there may be occasions where you are asked to work late.
