SalaryStep Into Teaching are looking for Graduate Learning Support assistants for a secondary school in Staffordshire offering a full time role.
The role is to supporting special educational needs students within a mainstream secondary school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain experience before becoming an educational psychologist/SENCO.
The Opportunity:
- Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Aspiring educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
- 1:1 & Small Group work
- Secondary school – rated 'Good' by Ofsted
- Staffordshire
- September 2024 start
- Full-time role – Monday - Friday
- £450 - £490 per week - term time only
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the class teacher to support children who need support in the classroom.
- Supporting children with an EHCP alongside the SEN team
- Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
- Planning and resourcing intervention sessions
- Working alongside other professionals to assess children
- Supporting children pastorally to enable them to feel safe and secure both at school and at home.
