The Role:
We are seeking a Graduate Planner with knowledge of urban design and the historic environment and the ability to provide specialist urban design advice, deal with planning applications and listed building consents, and prepare and consult on policy documents.
To thrive in this role you would need to bring an excellent customer focussed approach to your work. You should be highly technical and confident in using the more advanced functions of computerised systems to ensure your work is efficient and team targets are met.
The Design Conservation and Transport team supports the Development Management function enabling the delivery of sustainable growth across the borough, managing a range of heritage assets and delivering professional advice. To deliver excellence in this role you’ll need to be able to visualise development in the round, assess its effect on the historic context and negotiate appropriate solutions with applicants or their agents who may(or may not) have the same specialist knowledge as you.
