Role: Graduate/Assistant Planner – Renewable Energy

Package: �25,000 – �28,000 DOE
About the role:
Astute’s Renewables team is partnered with a company committed to supporting the UK with their green initiative by continuing to develop Renewable Energy generation projects. They are looking to recruit a Graduate/Assistant Planner to join their growing team based in St Helens.
The Graduate/Assistant Planner role comes with a salary of up to �28,000, pension, flexible working and private healthcare.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Planning and Development Manager you will:
* Provide support to the planning team and manage the preparation of planning applications for energy projects.
* Evaluate potential development sites alongside our grid, design, and land teams.
* Project manage the preparation, submission, and determination of full planning applications, EIA, non-material amendments and minor material amendments for battery storage and solar developments.

* Attendance at and contribution to meetings with consultant teams, local planning authorities, and stakeholders.
* Undertake research and analysis of a range of planning and development issues.
* Any other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Minimum (or working towards) bachelor’s degree qualification in planning or related discipline.
* Experience with GIS / CAD system
* Working towards RTPI (or equivalent).
* Full and clean driving licence is required.
Personal skills:
The Graduate/Assistant Planner role would suit someone who is:
* A Graduate that is in their final year of studying or recently graduated (potential for part time work alongside studies)
* Solutions focused with a motivation to move projects forward.
* Strong analytical and research skills
* Excellent time management and organisation
* Knowledge and interest of planning, development, construction, land, energy, renewables, or project management would be beneficial, but not essential.
