VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading business based in Belfast to recruit a Group Accountant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Director the Group Accountant is a newly created role and has about due to growth within the business.

About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) but part qualified may also be considered with strong commercial experience.
- Strong broad hands-on accounts experience
- Experience of working with NAVISION would also be desirable though not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- You must also be able to demonstrate that you are a result focused individual with the energy and drive to make it happen.
What you’ll do
- Preparation of management & statutory year end accounts for companies
- Preparation of half year management accounts for group companies.
- Valuation and write-down of stock at the year end
- Audit responsibility for company research grants with Innovate UK
- Manage the timely return of statistical surveys.
- Plan and circulate budgets twice a year (April & October)
- Daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations to include foreign currency.
- Travel to subsidiary company sites to conduct half year and year end stocktakes and ensure cut-off procedures are followed.
- Reconciliation of card payments to customer accounts
- Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.
