Group It Support Technician

Reporting to the IT Director, you will be supporting the IT team by providing a technical and comprehensive IT service across the group, enabling it to meet its targets and corporate objectives.
As the Group IT Support Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the IT network, the servers, all client devices and security systems, including analysing, diagnosing and providing solutions to network, server, client devices and software problems.
Collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installations.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Servers
• Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
• Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
• Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
• Testing new hardware and software before group wide installation
• Confident with Microsoft Office
• To undertake project work as assigned by the Group IT Manager
• Liaise with 3rd party support

About You

• Experience in an IT Support Technician role ideally, sound understanding of Active Directory, Firewall Configurations and Server Configurations.
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both technically and non-technical.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar in this field is desired but not essential.
