Group Management Accountant

Your new company

Hays Senior Finance is working exclusively with this great, family-run business who have 3 companies within the group. Based in Wolverhampton, this company has some great future plans and is looking to double their turnover in the next 2 years in one of the group businesses.

Your new role

The job of the Group Management Accountant will report directly to the Managing Director and will be a hands-on and exciting role which will involve process improvement as well as the following accounting duties:

• Preparation of Management Accounts for 3 companies within the group
• Forecasting and Budgeting
• Reviewing the working capital
• Stock control
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month-end journals
• Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger
• Processing weekly payroll (no prior experience of this needed)
• VAT returns
• Payment of expenses
• Cashflow forecasting
• Calculating the fixed asset depreciation
• Managing a small team of 2 accounts assistants
• Liaising with auditors at year-end

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant. They will consider a first time mover out of practice who is looking for a role in industry or someone who has qualified and is looking for a number 1 role in finance.

What you'll get in return

The job comes with a salary range of £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, flexible working, pension scheme and free parking.
