Duties and responsibilities related to the Head Chef role include:
- Accountable for delivering exceptional dining experiences at the Chinese Restaurant, overseeing lunch and dinner operations, and collaborating closely with the Hotel Executive Chef.
- Responsible for managing food costs within budget and implementing cost control measures aligned with the hotel's business plan.
- Oversee recipe costing, menu development, and effective communication with colleagues to ensure innovative and appealing offerings.
- Provide comprehensive training, coaching, and mentorship to the culinary team to enhance productivity and colleague engagement.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and manage future culinary talent, fostering a dynamic and skilled team.
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards.
About you
Proven track record and experience in high-end Chinese cuisine is desired, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent knowledge of food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
