Our client, a leading telecoms and utilities company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Pre-Contracts to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role involves maintaining, negotiating, and awarding contracts to the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead tender programs, executive negotiations, and pricing/cost reviews.
- Ensure seamless service delivery by managing multifunctional groups.
- Maintain compliance with current industry regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with the team to develop and implement new contracting methods.
- Participate in strategy evolution for rollout plans and manage paused location restarts.
- Ensure BDUK contracting remains on schedule and identify opportunities for cost/efficiency improvements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining work performed and providing advice on contracts.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in senior roles involving contract and commercial management.
- Degree level education in commercial/contract/project management or equivalent, or substantial professional experience.
- Strong experience in telecoms or utilities industry.
- Proven track record in managing tender programs, executive negotiations, and pricing/cost reviews.
- Excellent upward and peer management skills with the ability to deal with multifunctional groups.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel as required and work flexible hours.
